Experience

I am from the United States. For over fifteen years, on and off, I have taught English to children and adults around the world. Most recently, I worked as a teacher and manager at a private English language institute in South Korea, where I designed curriculum and taught kindergarten, elementary school, middle school and adult learners. My classroom experience also includes teaching English reading and writing as well as math to U.S. elementary school students. Outside of the classroom, I have tutored middle school students in basic English, and I coached university students from Asia, particularly China, to write papers and debate complex topics in English. I hold masters degrees from Columbia University and the National University of Singapore, and I have worked in politics at the United Nations, the U.S. government and private sector. Besides English, I am well versed in a variety of subjects related to humanities and social science, and I can adapt his teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of students.

I enjoy chess, reading, writing articles on national and local policy, and playing soccer as well as tennis. I also read the Bible daily, and House Hunters International is my favorite television show. I live in South Korea.
